Send Susanna Kearsley To My Hometown

mapWhat if you could arrange for an author to visit your hometown as part of a special book tour?

Well, that could happen. Sourcebooks is sponsoring a special contest. They are sending New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Susanna Kearsley on a limited U.S. tour this June for the launch of her new book, THE FIREBIRD. You get to decide which towns she visits.

o3remb-sendsusannabadgeHere’s how the ‘Send Susanna Kearsley To My Hometown’ campaign works:
1.  Nominate your hometown here!
2.  Get as many friends, family, neighbors, the local book store or library to nominate it. But you have to hurry, you only have until February 4th to submit nominations.
3.  On February 4th Sourcebooks will announce the top ten towns with the most nominations.
4.  Those top ten towns will then go head to head to get the most votes.
5.  On April 30th  Sourcebooks will announce the top three towns that had the most votes. Susanna will then be visiting those towns for the US national tour for THE FIREBIRD.

Susanna’s writing has been compared to Mary Stewart, Daphne Du Maurier, and Diana Gabaldon. She recently hit the bestseller lists in the U.S. with THE WINTER SEA, which was also a finalist for the UK’s Romantic Novel of the Year Award and winner of a RT Reviewers Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction, and RITA-nominated THE ROSE GARDEN, winner of a RT Reviewers Choice Award for Best Historical Fantasy/Paranormal.

Her award-winning books have been translated into several languages, selected for the Mystery Guild, considered for Reader's Digest, and optioned for film. She lives in Canada, near the shores of Lake Ontario.

THE FIREBIRD is a new time-slip romance adventure.
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object's history and knows it was namedcover after the Firebird — the mythical creature from an old Russian Fable.

Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl name Anna into the past who leads her on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian Counts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

Here’s your chance to have an author visits your hometown. Get busy with those votes. Smile

Thanks everyone for stopping by today. Have you ever got to meet your favorite author at a book signing? What about a new author you hadn’t read before?

    Cheers Hilary
